1. Olive Oil, Lemon and Herbs Marinade

Start the summer right with this amazing citrusy marinade. It offers the perfect blend between citrus and herbs. It is a Mediterranean classic. You can serve the fish with some potatoes or vegetables. To make the marinade, you need to combine fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, basil, or cilantro), 2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice, and half a cup of olive oil. Pour the marinade over the fish and let it remain on the fish for around 5 minutes. Then, proceed with the cooking. You can also marinade the vegetables to add more flavour.

2. Mustard and Maple Syrup Marinade

If you meaty fish such as grouper, barramundi, or salmon, you can add some bold flavours to them. Opt for a grade B maple syrup as it offers more complex flavour. To make the marinade, mix 4 tbsp of whole grain mustard and half a cup of maple syrup. Adjust the ingredients for the perfect balance. Then, spread the marinade over the fish. Let is remain on the fish for 5 minutes and start cooking immediately. Top off the meal with some fresh herbs like cilantro or chopped dill.

3. Orange, Honey, and Ginger Marinade

One of the easiest marinades that you can make is an orange, honey, and ginger marinade, also know as Honey Garlic Marinade. It offers the perfect sweet and spicy taste that will bring your stomach to life. The heat of the ginger, the sweetness of the honey, and the lime juice complement each other. To make the marinade, combine 2 tbsp honey with half a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp fresh lime juice, a tsp of minced fresh ginger, and minced garlic clove. Coat your fish with this marinade for up to 10 minutes and start cooking. 

4. Coconut and Lime Marinade

If you have ever tried Thai cuisine, you are going to recall its delicious flavours by trying the Soy & Lime Marinade. The marinade offers a creamy rich flavour to the fish. You can also add some Thai eye chilli for a spicy touch or opt for dried red chilli flakes. To make the marinade, you need to add a cup of coconut milk, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp lime juice, and thinly sliced Thai eye chilli. Coat the fillets with the marinade and start cooking after 15 minutes. This dish is best served with rice. It is just too delicious to eat on your own.
